"LET'S GET READY TO RUUMMMBBBLLLLEEEEEEEE" lol. That's me introducing ANOTHER collab with Becca from Happily the Hicks. Obviously I love her and her recipes. You know what else I love? HER PHOTOGRAPHS. She's the best. We decided to collaborate on the perfect fall picnic. Fall Picnic? yeah, cause you'll die if you go on a picnic in Texas summer. All the pictures here of the actual picnic she took and they're beautiful. (if you're in the market for getting some photos taken definitely check her out!) For our picnic I wanted a super yummy super fall sandwich. I don't know why, but I was super set on having an oat wheat bread that was in cute little hoagies. But I couldn't find any anywhere! So I just decided to make some. Get that recipe here. Anyway. Let's make a sammich... First, toast your bread. It'll help your sandwich not to feel soggy if it's sitting in your picnic basket for a while. Then spread on some apricot jam. As thin or as thick of a layer as you like. It compliments SO well with the brie! Next up add your brie. Then plenty of turkey and lastly a big ole pile of arugula. Top her off Wrap 'em in parchment and throw 'em in you picnic basket. The perfect pairing for this sandwich is Becca's Harvest Pasta Salad! Ho-ly, it was so good. Like, all the fall flavors you could dream of in one super packable pasta salad. James could not get enough of that bread! haha. If you make this recipe take a photo and tag me on Instagram @martinezmade.co or use the #martinezmade It'll make my day!!
