Summer peaches are where it's at. They're so juicy and sweet. Since Happily The Hicks and I both think so, we decided to collaborate again to bring you 4 ways to use your summer peaches! Check out her Peach Swirl Homemade Ice cream! Check both of our blogs again next week for two more recipes using these tasty peaches that scream summer. You know what else screams summer? Lemonade. And now we're here: peach lemonade. Two of the tastiest things summer has to offer (besides strawberries, but we'll get to that next week) This lemonade is super easy to make and so refreshing. It's sweet from the peaches and little bit of sugar and so perfectly tart from the freshly squeezed lemons. Plus it's easy to turn into a cocktail! Shall we? Let's make Peach Lemonade together...
We're starting with peaches. Cut two peaches.
Shove em in a blender cup and blend them until smooth.
It should make about two cups of peach puree.
Pour it in a sauce pan.
And 1/2 cup sugar (or more if you want it really sweet)
Whisk it together and let it simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
While the peach puree is simmering slice and juice 8 lemons
Pour the lemon juice into a pitcher
Followed by the peach puree
And a cup of water (if you want a lighter flavor add more water)
Pour over ice to serve
OR blend it with some ice instead (with a splash or two of vodka).
It'll last a week or two in the fridge, (longer if you put vodka in it) so it's great for making ahead for parties... or just to enjoy each night of the week. Whatever.
However you choose to enjoy it; take a photo and tag me @MartinezMade_ on Instagram or use the Hashtag #MartinezMade. It'll make my day!
