These are perfect for the person who doesn’t like their sweets too sweet. I looooove them. I even keep some in the fridge and eat them for breakfast! Yum. Let’s make cookies together... You’ll need: 2 cups all purpose flour, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 orange, 1/4 cup dried cranberries, 1 cup softened butter. zest one orange dump it in a medium sized bowl along with two sticks of softened butter whip it until it’s nice and fluffy now 1/2 cup powdered sugar mix it well next, 2 cups of flour when you first start mixing it’ll look crumbly... just keep going chop 1/4 cup dried cranberries stir them in with a spatula lay out a piece of plastic wrap plop your cookie dough on top shape it into a log roll up it tightly i went for an extra layer just to be sure Roll it like play dough till you’re satisfied with the shape. Pop it in the freezer until you’re ready to bake (at least 30 min up to four months) pull out the cookie dough while you preheat your oven to 350° unwrap it on a cutting board slice into 1/3 inch thick bake for 14 minutes lol. They don’t look much different after they’re baked except that the edges are a bit golden. Leave on the baking sheet until cooled. eat as is ooooorrr top with an orange glaze— For the glaze: whisk 1 1/2 c p sugar with the juice from half an orange Spoon the glaze onto each cookie + use a baking sheet and cooling rack to catch the drippings The icing will set so you can stack them + serve them at a tea party.
